New Atlanta School to Provide Tailored Learning Experience for all, including Students with High Functioning Asperger’s Syndrome, Children on the Autism Spectrum, Learning Disabilities, and
ADD/ADHD. Accepting enrollment applications now for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year
Cumberland Academy of Georgia, Inc., (www.cumberlandacademy.org), a new, fully accredited private, non-profit independent school dedicated to students with special needs, continues to grow in its third year with increased enrollment, enhanced programs, and new technology. With the continued growth Cumberland has hired a new Director of Admissions, Kathy Ellison. Ms. Ellison will be responsible for the recruitment, enrollment and retention of students.

Prior to her new position, Kathy worked as Director of Admissions for Sophia Academy. Kathy is a graduate of the University of Memphis and has over 10 years of experience in the education field.

Cumberland Academy of Georgia, Inc. provides a tailored learning experience for students with high functioning Asperger’s Syndrome, children on the Autism Spectrum, Learning Disabilities, and ADD/ADHD. With a low student-to-teacher ratio of 8 to 1, Cumberland Academy is designed for the needs of many students who do not learn well in traditional settings. Cumberland Academy is fully accredited and addresses the student’s academic, emotional and social concerns through nurturing, innovative and challenging programs.
